An Official Tour to Thailand with 7 Friends

This one is just to share my experience of working at Thailand and about our short trip.

Why not I start with a short introduction of the 7 people. We worked for a Bangladeshi software company. Here we had a professional relationship with each other but it turns into a family. Not a simple family, A family with friends. And more interestingly we are from the same profession and university.

Now come to Thailand. All of us get an offer to serve software support to another company in Thailand. Here, our bondings got stronger than before. We worked here for 3 months.

Thai culture and their hospitality are just awesome though we met with our Bangladeshi community there. We spend Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitter with the community and Thai people. During the vacations, holidays and after finishing the daily work, we visited many places of Bangkok city, Pattaya, and Phuket. Thailand is a beautiful place to visit.

Bangkok: There are lots of activity to do but it will depend on you what do you want to do. I started with Khao San Road which is popular among the foreigners. Long a haven for foreign backpackers, Khao San Road has gentrified to include a few boutique choices and is now a colorful and vibrant part of Bangkok, where Thais come to join travelers at some of the best bars and clubs in town, as well as to take advantage of all the various shopping bargains.

Then I visited Dusit Zoo. Not a major attraction for international visitors but a visit to Dusit Zoo certainly gets you a memorable jungle experience right in the heart of the old town.

Sea life Bangkok ocean world is an aquarium in Bangkok, Thailand, the largest in South East Asia. Meet and greet over 400 water species at Bangkok’s favorite ocean-themed attraction! Also have the option to feed lovely penguins, otters and water rats, and get your feet pampered with the unique Happy Fish pedicure.

Also visited Madame Tussauds Museum Bangkok. Museum chain for life-size wax replicas of famous Americans & historic icons in themed galleries.

Art in Paradise Bangkok is an awsome place to click 3d photos. Art in Paradise in Bangkok is a place to make countless fun photos posing in the 3D artwork. The photos come out surprisingly real and make it look like you are a part of the painting.

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is for art lovers. Bangkok Art and Culture center is a contemporary arts center in Bangkok, Thailand. Art, music, theatre, film, design and cultural/educational events take place in its exhibition and performance spaces. The centre includes cafes, commercial art galleries, bookshops, craft shops and an art library.

I loved the Siam Laser Games and the players. Bangkok’s latest indoor laser tag venue.

For the shopaholic, Bangkok is a heaven. For the cheap prices, you can go in the local markets such as:

  • Chatuchak Weekend Market
  • Pratunam Market
  • Asiatique
  • Rot Fai Market
  • Train Night Market etc.

If you are thinking to go to any mall then here is the list of great malls in Bangkok:

  • Terminal 21
  • Siam Discovery
  • Siam Centre
  • Siam Paragon
  • Platinum Fashion Mall
  • MBK Center
  • Fortune Town etc.

You can also visit :

  • Grand palace
  • Wat Arun
  • Lumphini Park
  • Safari World

If you want to go to bars, Clubs, and that place for which one bangkok is popular. Not necesserly you have to do or eat something, you can just walk through the Soi. This places are well known tourist place in bangkok so you can visit this places.

  • 66 Rama IX Soi 8
  • Soi Cowboy
  • Nana

There are lots of things to do in Bangkok. Avobe mention places are recomanded from me. If you want to more explore. just go and google “activities in Bangkok”.

Note: If you are finding halal foods in Bangkok you have to search it in google. It is available but less in number. For Bangladeshi food Sukumvit is the place though it is costly.

Phuket: For me phuket is the place for the sea and island lovers. We statyed at patong city. Here hotels are cheap but foods are very costly. You can do lots of stuff here but I will prefer not waste time on the land. Sea is better here. You can do snorkeling here.

I personally visited :

  • Patong Beach
  • Phi Phi Islands
  • Coral Island
  • Krabi
  • Phra Nang Cave
  • James Bond Island/Khao Ping Khan
  • Phang Nga Bay
  • Maya Bay
  • Monkey Island
  • Mosquito Island
  • Pileh Cove
  • Khai Islands etc.

For night life there is a few thing to do . But there is a walking street named Bangla Street which is like Bankgok (Cowboy Street).

Pattaya: After visiting Phuket I didn’t get the interest in Pattaya. The beach is not that attractive. There is few island but in comparison to Phuket not that interesting. There are lots things to do but if you already visited Bangkok and Phuket you already visited the similar places. There is walking the street in Pattaya. May be it is the longest one either in Thailand or in the world. Not sure about it.  You can go for sky diving here.

Suggestion: If you want to reduce the cost of traveling here , book in advance from online .
